Consideration to Others

Stonebond prides itself on it's consideration towards all parties involved in any new construction project, in particular with regard to neighbours or anyone else who may be affected by the work undertaken by your company.

You may recall that I wrote to your Board of Directors on 28 March last year, after I had learned of the plans you had for the above development immediately adjacent to our property, when I then detailed some of the concerns my wife and I had in this respect.

Following receipt of my letter you arranged for your project manager, Mr Andrew Moore, to visit us to discuss the matter, when we were then able to explain more fully our anxieties. We made Mr Moore aware of the fact that, both of us being in our eighties and in poor health, we were considerably disturbed by the prospect of the disruption, inconvenience and noise the construction would cause, particularly also because the access to the development site would involve use by contactors vehicles of the private driveway leading also to our residence.

After the initial meeting with Mr Moore, further correspondence ensued between us addressing all the issues we had raised, including the provision by him of Schedule of Condition photographic records, and other meetings took place as the construction progressed. The purpose of this letter, now that the construction has been completed, is therefore to formally express to you appreciation of the way in which Mr Moore kept us fully informed and dealt with our concerns throughout the construction process. In fact, the way in which the work was executed and the co-operation with us has been such that the fears we had at the outset proved mostly to have been eliminated. In addition to complimenting Mr Moore for his courteous, friendly and understanding conduct throughout, I must also express appreciation of the conduct of Eddy, your groundwork subcontractor, who was on site for much of the time and who also had regard for our situation.
